What is “Ugg” Means? Where can I Find Sheep Skin Boots?
The origin of the Australian ugg boot has a variety of stories
as to how and when the ugg sheep skin boots were actually
invented. One of the versions has the sheep skin footwear as the
boot worn by pilots during World War One. These boots were
referred to as “Fug Boots” denoting their use as ugg boots used
for flying. In the 1930’s, Blue Mountain Ugg Boots were commonly
worn by sheep shearers for their added warmth over regular
footwear. “Apache Ugh Boots” were fashioned by Mortel’s
Sheepskin Factory in the 1950’s. By the 1960’s surfers were
wearing their own version of the boot, finding them an easy and
comfortable way to warm up after surfing the cold Australian
waters.
The original ugg sheep skin boots were made with two pieces of
sheepskin attached in the front and a soft sole. Most
Australian’s believe the name “Ugg” derives from the word
“ugly”, therefore coining the term “Ugg Boot”, as uniquely
Australian as “Joey’s ” and “mate’s”. Given the ugg boot’s
various stories of origination, it would be impossible to
pinpoint who made the first sheep skin boots and when. Truth be
told, they were probably reinvented many times satisfying a
variety of uses based on the specific need of the person.
In the 1970’s, in Western Australia, some people saw that with
some basic changes, the ugg boot had real potential and began
their own company called Uggs-N-Rugs ™. They implemented some
basic style changes such as replacing the center seam with a
patterned braid down the back and a more substantial sole
designed for added comfort. Eventually a fully molded heal
counter was added to these boots. This design created three
layers to the boot; the sheep skin, the molded heal, and the
suede that is used as the outer layer. This type of
manufacturing helps the boot to retain its original shape and
allows for maximum support. Although the ugg sheep skin boots
boot were to be the core-selling product of Uggs-N-Rugstm, many
companies throughout the world have copied and produced their
own version of the sheepskin boot.
Since the success of Uggs-N-Rugs as one of the longest running
producers of sheep skin boots in Australia, many other
manufacturers and retail businesses from all over the world have
attempted to copy their success. Although there are many stories
found on the Internet, one Australian named Brian Smith lays
claim to being one of the first to introduce the ugg boot to the
American market.
Love is the Key to Enthusiasm
Look back on your life. Think of years gone by and recollect about days when you used to feel enthusiastic about everything.
Where is that spark now? Are you very enthusiastic today? If yes, great. If not, why? Why are you not enthusiastic today?
What is the reason?
Enthusiasm is tricky. We feel very motivated and eager to do things that we love. But avoid everything that gives us trouble.
It is simple. We avoid pain.We hate pain and we don’t want to do anything that gives us even little pain. But we are very eager to do everything that gives us joy. What is the definition of joy? What makes us happy is joy. Is joy same for all of us? Certainly not. Each of us has his/her own liking and feels happy doing that. A musician will hate solving problems of higher mathematics, and a mathematician will love solving them throughout the day. The first element to joy is our liking.
What is the second element? The second element is our attitude. Our attitude makes us. Some of us will never give up till
they finish the given work, while others will easily leave it half done and go on to do something else. Is it not true? All
of us have our own character that gets molded by our culture, our upbringing, our values and our genes. None of us is
similar. All of us are different. That gives this world the differences.
There is one element, which is common to a large majority. Love. For few others power and wealth are the keys to their
thinking. But by far, if you analyze, love motivates all of us most. If you have promised to your beloved about doing
something, you will do it even if you don’t like doing that. To make the other one happy is the motivator here. How to use
this in daily life and remain enthusiastic always? It is difficult but not impossible. Let us look at this from the other side. If we enjoy doing things for someone we love, will we begin loving someone again if we try to enjoy doing anything for that person? For example, many of married couples find love missing in their life. They themselves wonder about why they used to love each other madly few years back and why they don’t do that now? If both the spouses pretend to enjoy doing anything that makes the other happy, will the love return? It will most probably! If you are in love, great. If you are not and single, find someone quickly to love. And if you are married, but the love is lost, try to reclaim it. Love will keep you enthusiastic at every moment. If you want to earn money, very big money, then promise to your beloved that you will make that sum in a certain period. The promise given will make you find ways and work enthusiastically to earn that sum.
As I said before enthusiasm is tricky. We have to bring it in everything we do. The simple way is to do everything thinking
that it will make your beloved happy. Even if it is a work related to your profession where your partner is not involved at
all, tell her/him about that and promise that you will do something very difficult with enthusiasm. You will do it. That
promise will make you do it.
Love is a emotion that can drive one to do anything. Love does something to the mind that makes one do everything for the
beloved. Love also gives the strength and enthusiasm. Love is the key to enthusiasm.

Future Examples of Artificial Intelligence; Sense of Humor
As we make breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and begin to build the robotic android assistants of the future we will be faced with many programming challenges you see. For instance human-machine bonding issues, trust and even something as simple as a sense of humor, which pleases humans in normal human-to-human interactions. Unfortunately something we humans perceive as simple is not so simple to program. Yet, true artificial intelligence ought to be able to create a joke and tell it on its own, without simply being pre-programmed to say a known human line of comedy you see?
A difficult task indeed and this is why it was recently brought up in an online think tank. One online thinker; Mr. Keith Rowell states; “I would be curious to see any examples you can show of how intended humor from AI was successful.”
Excellent point; Indeed, me too, I am very interested in this subject now that you have re-brought it to my attention. I am curious as well and maybe this is what our artificial intelligent programmers need to design, curious inquisitive artificial intelligence, which will go and seek information and perhaps it may find its own solution for creativity and then it can explain it back to all of us who study the human mind and cannot for the life of figure out how it all works or why?
Just think an Artificial Intelligent Robot to work along humans as assistants while being the funniest person on the crew or team. Interesting indeed. Perhaps we should consider all this in 2006; it appears to be possible, but it is going to be the ultimate challenge indeed.

Philosophy of High Noon
The movie “High Noon” has interesting comparisons to the
philosophies and views of Kant. While many will say it can
mirror the philosopher’s views, particularly through the actions
of the lead character Kane, this paper will analyze the
interesting and somewhat contrary view by looking at the actions
of Kane’s wife.
It is important to note first that Kane’s wife is an emotional
person. She is a religious woman, a Quaker to be precise, and
chose this lifestyle after she saw her father and brother killed
by guns. Her current viewpoints on guns, violence and personal
involvement reflect her emotional side which Kant would clearly
say as a weak point and completely differs from Kantian view.
Supporting her anti-Kantian ways is the fact that she focuses
much on consequences. She does not see the act of killing simply
for its act and the defensive purpose. She worries too much
about who could and will die and not enough about why they would
risk their lives to perform the act. Kant would say that she
does not see the duty in the individual’s action and rather is
heavily focused on how and what this may lead to no matter how
unpredictable it is.
On the contrary, it is also important to note that Kane’s wife
is an analytical person. She does rely on her reason to some
degree to establish her own views on life. It is clear that she
does not believe in killing because she finds it morally wrong
in her religion, but she also analyzes the very human and mortal
aspect of killing. She recognizes how worthless killing another
man would be and that it would shatter all your moral standards
in doing so. One may say she is merely acting in the teachings
of God, but she has come to accept this at her own willingness
and established these views after personal experience. Kane’s
wife is not just another religious fanatic protesting
self-justice and mortal/civilized laws. She is a woman that has
great self-respect and is able to transfer that respect among
all life so that she is clear of one thing: she can honestly and
justifiably say that killing is wrong. She does have a strong
moral basis.
By the end of the movie though, Kane’s wife takes a drastic
turn towards Kant’s philosophy. She is able to set her mind free
of worry and future analysis, and by doing so realizes the duty
that she has of protecting her husband of him protecting her.
She is willing to break her view upon kill to save her husband,
though she does not break her moral. What she does is justified
and a logical, moral act which Kant would promote for the simple
fact that it follows the Ethics of Duty.
It is clear that the character of Kane’s wife is a dynamic one.
She stays moral and true to herself through the whole movie, but
how she defines this or how her actions define her is what
changes. Though she does not lose her emotions to fulfill any
actions, she is able to in a way push them aside and let them
not interfere. Kane’s wife always had the underlining rules for
the Ethics of Duty, but it took a clear, determining act at the
end to truly allow her to express what she had and already knew.
